Oh Blogger why do you do this ?

Would love to do a blog post but cannot access my PC photo files as blogger will not give me the browse window that I require.  Below are my list of options (none of which pertain to photo files on my computer) and when I click on UPLOAD nothing happens !!!

Upload
From this blog
From Picasa Web
Albums
From your phone
From your webcam
From a URL

Also Blogger is hiccuping today and about every 5 to 10 seconds my cursor freezes up for several moments before it allows me to continue typing.

So many times I find myself wondering if maybe there could be something out there a whole lot better than Blogger Blogspot?

Oh Blogger why do you do this ?

  1. I have been having the same problem. Here is the workaround from http://knownissues.blogspot.com/

The photo upload icon is not appearing for some users on Internet Explorer. We're investigating the issue and will update this post as soon as we have more information.

In the meantime, you can workaround this issue by using a different browser (such as Chrome or Firefox) or temporarily switching to the Edit HTML mode of the compose editor.

  2. Thank you Bridget. It's good to know that Blogger is "working on it".

  3. I've maxed out on my photo allotment on Blogger. They want to charge me for extra storage. So I have to use stupid photobucket. :(

  4. It's so frustrating isn't it? Last week our internet kept coming and going. I stick with blogger because it's easiest but I know those who have switched to typepad or wordpress and are happy they did.

  5. Nothing is ever as straight forward as we want it to be.

    Keep at it.

  6. Good to see you back Anna Maria :) Blogger seems to be making a lot of people's life hell with picture uploading.

  7. I had the same problem and uploaded the pics first to Picasa (Google picture manager, but you need a gmail account), where all pictures from my blog are copied from every post and then uploaded them to the last post. But this should be resolved in one way or another! So, go ahead, bypass it!

  9. I hear you!! Sometimes Blogger can be ultra frustrating!! I usually can get around it by switching browsers, but there are days where it truly seems to have a mind of its own!

  10. Blogger gets weird sometimes to the point of annoying and then other times it works just perfectly, it is a crazy relationship I have with it but I do not want to have to change to another one just yet, they all have their issues I think.

Hope today is better, cheers, T. :)

  11. Blogger can be frustrating. I will have to say now that I switched to Google Chrome I don't have as many problems. I hope they get things worked out and that you are able to get your photos to post.

  12. Sometimes when that kind of weirdness happens I just reboot my machine or clean out cookies, etc. Blogger does have internet gremlins though I swear! Hope it gets fixed asap!
