A Day For Silence and Prayers

Tomorrow will be a day of silence as we offer our prayers to a country devastated by the brute forces of  our dynamic planet.  All too often we take our world for granted and forget the power that wells within it.

Though this Earth of ours has mellowed much in the hundreds of millions of years since it was first formed, it is still capable of cataclysmic forces that can wreck destruction beyond mankind's imagination.  Sorrowfully a whole Nation has fallen victim to these unfathomable forces.

It will take much time for Japan to make a full recovery, in the meantime we should offer our help in whatever ways possible and keep them in our prayers.

  1. It is so very sad...words and pictures can't even begin to cover the scope of what they are going through. My heart goes out to each and every one of those affected by this tragedy.

They need our prayers and our support to recover...they have a long road ahead, and we should help out in whatever way we can.

    Lovely thoughts.

  3. Anna, your words are truly powerful. I think the Japanese are an amazingly determined and strong race and I do believe with the rest of the planet helping they will overcome this awful event but the emotional scars will last far too long.

Sending them our prayers and our positive energy tomorrow and onwards is a wonderful thing.

Take Care and have a lovely evening :) T.

  4. Well said Anna. It's hard for me to comprehend the devastation and despair the good people of Japan are dealing with. I have prayed and will continue to pray for healing and restoration for this country.

  5. Thank you for sharing . I took a minute silence to join you in this prayer. It is unfathomable how small we are against nature. It's true we are all part of a whole and yes, it is time to pray for them, time to pray for each other. I hope the positive energy will make a difference.

  7. I don't pray but I did spend time with my thoughts (and hopefully sending them out in the universe) for those afflicted by another disaster. As Lanyard Lady said, we live in this world--all of us--together.
