GORGEOUS ALASKABORO BEADS...

One of AlaskaBoro's divine beads
Slept last night...what a blessing !!!  We never fully appreciate something so simple and so basic as sleep until we miss it.

Just wanted to share with all of you a most fantastic website and artist.  The art; beautiful handcrafted glass beads, in particular Beautiful Boro Beads.  Please take a moment to visit Jim's website (Jim lives in Alaska) any one of these beads would look amazing on a simple little chain or cord.  Jim's site:  AlaskaBoro  .  Or visit his lovely glass pendants:  PENDANTS  ( just click the highlighted link to view, may have to use the forward/back buttons to return?)
Jim's beads are stunning and very, incredibly, reasonably priced.  Now all that's left to do is decide on which one's to get;  as for me I want them all and I bet you'll find at least one that catches your eye. Let me know what you think.

  2. Wow. WOW WOW WOW. Those are insanely pretty and I know worth every penny but DANG, that's quite the price tag! I saw at least two after just a brief glance that I'd love to have.

  3. Thanks Kristen amazing what a good night's sleep can do.

Aly - Yes they are fabulous. The price really isn't bad at all since these are handcrafted from molten glass and the different colors are added individually and then the bead is reheated and reshaped. This means that no two are absolutely alike.
These are all meant to be Focal Beads so they are of pretty good size roughly 1/2 inch wide by 3/4 inch long with a large center hole that you can thread a nice chain or cord through. I've seen similar beads like these sell for at least 3 to 4 times the price (of course I'm not talking about the cheap China or India knock offs which tend to be extremely fragile and break very easily). I fell in love with a gorgeous red and silver creation and I hear it calling to me as I type this...must go and purchase it before it is gone. :)

  5. Am so glad that you featured Jim's beads. I have been buying from him for 6 months or so and just LOVE the beads!!! And as you said they are VERY reasonably priced for the incredible beauty held in each one. Have bought individual beads, pendants and some sets - have not been disappointed in any of them. As a matter of fact, just placed another order yesterday :) My customers love them - just sold a pair of earrings made with Jim's beads for a pretty hefty price tag. He and his wife are EXTREMELY nice people and even though I have never met them face-to-face, I consider them good friends. Thanks for the posting!!!

  6. Hi. Those are some pretty cool beads. I went on my honeymoon to Alaska and we were there over Haolloween. You ain't never had you no Halloween til you visit the talkeetna Inn and mingle with those revelers from the bush that flew in for a hot shower and a party! Yee haw
Anyway, I've been out of town for most of the summer but I haven't had a sale since June! I only have 10 sales anyway...but if I can keep on going so can you! Just keep swimming, swimming, swimming in the words of Doris the fish in finding Nemo. If you are starving to death then that is different. EVERYONE is having a dead summer sales wise. Keep yer chin up! Go for a walk! Take your cheapest beads and throw them out the car window at people you don't like the looks of! What, what. chip, chip. Ok enuf nonsense, you get my drift.

  7. So glad to hear you got some sleep! Nothing quite like it is for sure true :-)

I love blown type glass, there is something so fluid to the way the material molds to itself and the way the colors blend is like a vibrant rainbow ocean. His work is gorgeous, thanks for sharing it!
